Two suspects caught in larceny of DTE electrical equipment

(WORTH TOWNSHIP) -- Two men were arrested Thursday in connection to the larceny of electrical equipment from DTE. Sanilac County Sheriff's deputies received a citizen tip advising that the two men were stealing the equipment on Galbraith Line Road near St. Clair Road in Worth Township just before 8 p.m. An investigation showed that the 42-year old Lexington man and 43-year old Port Huron man had stopped on the side of the road and began loading the electrical equipment into the bed of their pickup truck. DTE personnel responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. The new equipment was valued at over $1,000. Both men were arrested on felony charges and the driver of the pickup was also jailed for operating while intoxicated. The suspect's name are being withheld pending arraignment.
