(CASS CITY) -- The 26-year old Cass City woman that pleaded guilty to embezzlement has been sentenced to six months in jail and 2-years probation. Amber Hennessey appeared in Tuscola County Circuit Court this week facing a maximum 10-years in prison. Officials say Hennessey embezzled more than $26,000 from the Millennium Steering Plant in Cass City between April 2011 and August 2012. Prosecutors dismissed a second charge of embezzlement in the case as part of a plea deal. Hennessey was ordered to pay over $900 in court costs and fines and must also pay Millennium Steering over $26,000 in restitution.
