(AREA) -- Bridge maintenance totaling $1 million has started on five bridges in Sanilac and Huron counties. The Michigan Department of Transportation says work on the M-25 bridge over the Pinnebog River and the bridge over Schram Drain, both south of Port Austin, includes paving, painting and erosion control. The projects will be suspended for the Cheeseburger Festival and during Labor Day. Work is expected to be complete by this fall. The M-142 bridge over the Clunis Drain east of Elkton will see erosion control work and is expected to be complete by the Fourth of July. Construction starting after July 4 includes the M-25 bridge project over the Shebeon Drain south of Bay Port and the M-90 bridge project over the Black River in Croswell. Motorists should expect delays.
