(DECKERVILLE) -- The Ruth Knights of Columbus donated fifteen "Casey" Teddy Bears to the Deckerville Community Hospital ER earlier this month. "Casey" bears are used by emergency service providers to comfort children during a stressful situation like medical emergencies or accidents. The program has been in place for over 20-years. Around 400 Michigan Knights of Columbus councils use "Casey" the bear for community service projects. Deckerville Hospital has been supplied with the bears for several years through the Ruth Knights of Columbus Council #3823.
