U.S. car sales shift between March 2013 and March 2014

(DETROIT) -- U.S. auto sales of light vehicles in March 2014 indicated increases of 5.7% of the U.S. automobile companies.

GM sold 256,047 with an increase of 4.1% from 2013
Ford sold 243,417 with an increase of 3.3% from 2013
Toyota sold 215,438 with an increase of 4.9% from 2013
Honda sold 133,318 with a decrease of 2% from 2013
Chrysler sold 193,915 with an increase of 13% from 2013
Hyundai sold 61,005 with a decrease of 13.9% from 2013
Nissan sold 149,136 with an increase of 8.3% from 2013

The Detroit Big Three had 45.1% of all car sales in March 2014. The prediction for 2014 is an increase for all domestic automakers for a total of 16.4 million vehicles. If they follow the March increase they should sell over 15.1 million vehicles.
