U.S. car sales shift between October 2012 and October 2011

(DETROIT) -- U.S. auto sales of light vehicles in October 2012 indicated increases at a reasonable pace of the U.S. automobile companies.

GM sold 195,764 with an increase of 4.7% from 2011
Ford sold 167,947 with an increase of .3% from 2011
Toyota sold 155,242 with an increase of 15.8% from 2011
Honda sold 166,973 with an increase of 8.8% from 2011
Chrysler sold 126,185 with an increase of 10.2% from 2011
Hyundai sold 50,271 with a decrease of 4.1% from 2011
Nissan sold 76,685 with a decrease of 3.2% from 2011
The Detroit Big Three had 44.8% of all car sales in October 2012, a 4.5% increase over last month. The prediction for 2012 is an increase of at least 1.5% for all domestic automakers for a total of 14.2 million vehicles. If they follow the October increase they should sell over 14.4 million vehicles.
