(CROSWELL) -- For over 60 years, AT&T and the AT&T Foundation have been strong supporters of United Way both at the national and local levels. AT&T will continue this legacy of support through a contribution of $500 to United Way of Sanilac County. In 2012 alone, AT&T gave $5.77 million to 574 local United Ways across the country. A presentation will take place at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 12 at the United Way offices located at 50 N. Howard in Croswell. State Representative Paul Muxlow will attend the ceremony.
United Way of Sanilac County is a community based non-profit with over 22-member agencies. The organization is currently in the process of bringing the help line 2-1-1 to Sanilac County. This resource and referral phone number is accessible 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365 days a year. AT&T is directing its contribution to this effort. Marie Thieleman, Director of United Way of Sanilac County said, "This help and assistance program will service all people in Sanilac County and be able to tap into 2-1-1 systems statewide. This program will enable those in need to find the best resources available, and AT&T's donation will help the United Way fund this project."
