Local high school students invited to enter Right to Life of Sanilac County Oratory Contest

(AREA) -- Right to Life of Sanilac County will hold its 5th Annual High School Oratory Contest on Monday, March 17th. The contest is open to any 9th-12th grade student. Students must be enrolled in a Sanilac County school or home-school to be eligible to enter. Applications are also available at www.RTLSC.com and are due by March 10. The contest involves researching, writing and presenting a 5-7 minute pro-life speech on one of several topics including abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research or human cloning. The contest will be held at the Sanilac MSU Extension Office in Sandusky beginning at 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The first place winner will receive $300, second place-$200, and the third place prize is $100. The winner will also advance to the state competition sponsored by Right to Life of Michigan in May and recite their winning speech at the annual Focus on Life Benefit Dinner, sponsored by Right to Life of Sanilac County on March 27 in Peck.
