(YALE) -- Fire crews battled a large fire in downtown Yale Tuesday. The blaze at Serious Graphic and Signs, located at 17 South Main Street, was reported just before 6 a.m. Officials say the business was fully engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived at the scene. The roof of the building collapsed and the building has been declared a total loss. Officials report that the Wash House Laundromat next door suffered fire damage. The Yale Expositor building and Sheldon Pharmacy both took on smoke and water damage. Firefighters from more than a dozen St. Clair and Sanilac county fire departments were at the scene. Yale Police Chief Mike Redman says plans for an investigation are already underway. Community members brought firefighters food and hot coffee as they battled the blaze in sub-zero temperatures. Yale City Manager John Osbourne commented that the outpouring of support from the community has been exceptional. No injuries were reported.
