(MARLETTE) -- The Nurse Practice Council of Marlette Regional Hospital strives to promote nursing in the communities it serves. In an effort to give back and promote health care, the group of dedicated nursing staff organized a fundraiser for the Caring Heart Health Clinic in Marlette. They sold raffle tickets for a summer fun basket during National Hospital Week that raised a total of $605. Caring Heart is a free, walk-in clinic serving patients that are uninsured and underinsured. The health care personnel that staff the clinic work on a volunteer basis and often need assistance purchasing necessary medical supplies for the clinic.
