LOS ANGELES (AP) - They held a Grammys - and a mass wedding broke out. The music ceremony became a civil marriage ceremony for 33 couples who tied the knot - with Queen Latifah doing the vows. It was part of the impact of the Macklemore and Ryan Lewis song, "Same Love." The tune has become a gay rights anthem - and its call for diversity in same-sex unions was echoed by the Grammy show. The Seattle based rap duo performed their hit, along with Mary Lambert, the openly gay singer who did the hook for the song. They were joined on stage by Madonna, who sang "Open Your Heart," as the couples - some straight, some gay - said their "I Do's." Queen Latifah said she wasn't ordained to do the ceremonies - but did have the required "authority vested in her by the State of California." The rapper and actress says two of her friends were among those married. And Ryan Lewis says his sister was among those who was hitched.
