(WORTH TOWNSHIP) -- A 52-year old Lexington man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on M-25 near Trail Road in Sanilac County's Worth Township. Deputies were sent to the scene just after 8:30 a.m. Lt. Charlene Washkevich reports that a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by the victim, Daniel Costello, was traveling south on Lakeshore Road and lost control of his vehicle. The van crossed the centerline and was struck by a northbound 2001 Ford box van driven by 44-year old Matthew Harvey of Fort Gratiot. Costello was ejected from his vehicle upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. Harvey was treated for non-life threatening injuries by Croswell EMS personnel. Deputies believe both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The crash remains under investigation. The Sanilac County Sheriff's Accident Investigation Team was assisted by Burtchville Township Fire, Lexington Fire, Croswell Fire, Croswell EMS, Croswell and Lexington Police and the Sanilac County Road Commission.
