Port Huron Twp woman found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder

(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) -- A St. Clair County jury delivered a guilty verdict against a 30-year old Port Huron Township woman  charged with driving drugged and killing two men last July. Lisa Bergman was found guilty Tuesday of two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of operating under the influence causing death, and two counts of operating with a suspended or revoked license causing death as a second-time habitual offender. Authorities say Bergman's pickup truck crossed the centerline and struck another truck along Lapeer Road in Kimball Township July 20, killing 19-year old Russell Ward and 20-year old Koby Raymo. Bergman faces life in prison at sentencing February 28. Throughout the trial, witnesses testified to seven prior incidents where Bergman had police contact due to alleged drugged driving. Those cases were on hold due to a backlog of test results in the Michigan State Police Crime Lab.
