(SANILAC COUNTY) -- The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners and Finance and Administration Committee met Tuesday afternoon. Commissioners appointed Dan Manwell to the county Pension Plan Board and John Groustra (grow-stra) to the Sanilac Transportation Board. Meanwhile, Finance and Administration Committee members approved a request from Catherine Staples to hold the 2014 Farmer's Market on Thursdays from May 8th to October 30th. In other business, committee members approved Lieutenant Nick Romzek's request to purchase a new metal detector for the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department. The $36,036 cost for the metal detector will be paid entirely through a technology grant awarded to the department. The measures head to the full Board of Commissioners for consideration.
