(MARLETTE) -- The Diabetes Education Program at Marlette Regional Hospital has expanded with the addition of Registered Nurse, BSN Shelli Greschaw, who is serving as the new coordinator of the diabetes and community education department. Shelli brings her nursing experience in acute care, sub-acute care, rehabilitation, home care and hospice to the diabetes education team. She also has extensive experience in patient/family education and chronic/terminal illness case management particularly, diabetes, congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Shelli received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University. She has worked as a nurse in various capacities at Oakwood Hospital, Ingham Regional Medical Center, Marlette Regional Hospital and Wellness Homecare. Most recently she has been working with United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital. Melanie Campbell, RN, CDE continues to be part of the diabetes education program as a casual certified diabetic educator. As the former department coordinator, Melanie was instrumental in creating a complete, highly-regarded and accredited Diabetes Self-Management Education program at Marlette Regional Hospital.
