(MOORE TOWNSHIP) -- Firefighters from five departments were on the scene for 7 1/2 hours in frigid temperatures on Friday evening battling a shed fire at Martin Farms located at 2600 Wheeler Road in Moore Township. Fire Chief Dan Bush says his department received the call around 6 p.m. and when firefighters arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames. Lost in the blaze was some farm equipment and a large quantity of straw. The building was three-quarters full of straw, which made fighting the fire very difficult. There were no injuries. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, but is not considered suspicious. Moore Township firefighters were assisted by the Sandusky, Marlette, Argyle and Lamotte Township Fire Departments, as well as Sanilac EMS, Sanilac County Sheriff's deputies, and Michigan State Police Troopers.
