(SANDUSKY) -- The Sandusky City Council met briefly Monday evening for their first meeting with new council member Brad Harris. Police Chief Brett Lester introduced Officer Trent Vatter, who is training with the department. Vatter, a Cass City native, is replacing Officer Paul Fox, a two-year veteran of the force who recently took a job with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. In other business, City Manager Dave Faber announced that he received a quote on the cost of replacing and upgrading computers in city hall. A total of eight computers will be replaced and two will be upgraded at a cost of roughly $5,000. Faber also mentioned that the city is planning to dispose of fallen branches from last month's ice storm once the snow melts. The Sandusky City Council meets again next Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
