(SANILAC COUNTY) -- Sanilac County Sheriff's deputies say two Madison Heights women were injured Saturday when their vehicle rolled over several times after they attempted to pass another vehicle on the snow covered roadway. The crash took place around 1:40 p.m. on M-53 near Adams Road in Lamotte Township. Deputies say the Ford Escape driven by 19-year old Jessica Jenkins was heading south on M-53. Jenkins went to pass the vehicle in front of her and lost control on a snowy patch. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled several times. Jenkins and her passenger, 48-year old Donna Jenkins-Pryon, were transported by Marlette EMS to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Deputies report that both women were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
