(ELMER TOWNSHIP) -- Two men were arrested Tuesday afternoon for their role in a breaking and entering at a cabin on Goodwine Road north of Walker Road in Sanilac County's Elmer Township. The owner of the cabin called authorities just before 5 p.m. after finding the two suspects stealing items from his property. He followed their Dodge pickup, hauling a small trailer, down several back roads while on the phone with 9-1-1. An off duty Sanilac County Sheriff's deputy responded to the area in a personally assigned patrol unit and was able to stop the pickup. The suspects were arrested without incident. An investigation revealed that the men had stolen scrap metal, a generator, and some other items from the cabin. A purse was also recovered from the suspect's vehicle, which was connected to a larceny complaint being handled by the Sandusky Police Department. 28-year old Brad Galloway of Sandusky and 26-year old Cody Breiholz of Port Huron were arraigned Wednesday on charges of breaking and entering, larceny from a building and possesion of stolen property. Galloway remains jailed on a $25,000 bond. Breiholz was released on a personal bond pending his preliminary exam.
