(BAD AXE) -- Michigan State University says its agricultural extension service is planning 11 workshops this winter about how to use irrigation to improve crop yields. The university says the MSU Extension will start the mainly daylong workshops January 9 in Bad Axe. They'll be held January 10 in St. Johns, January 14 in Cassopolis, February 13 in West Olive, February 14 in Coldwater, March 6 in Shipshewana, Indiana, March 12 in Traverse City, March 13 in Prudenville, March 17 in Dundee, March 18 in Frankenmuth, and March 19 in Grand Rapids. Most of the workshops require a $50 fee. People can register online.
