(PORT HURON) -- Police have arrested a 27-year old Port Huron man for his alleged involvement in a stabbing Thursday night in the 800 block of Pointe Drive. Port Huron Police say the victim, also of Port Huron, was walking in the area around 7:15 p.m. when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect then produced a knife and attempted to stab the victim. Officers say the victim received superficial cuts during the altercation and the incident appears to be random, as both parties did not know one another. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended a short time later. He remains jailed pending felonious assault charges. The attack is still under investigation.
