(PORT HURON TOWNSHIP) -- The suspect in the unarmed robbery of Nick's Four Roses restaurant in Port Huron Township is in police custody. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon says 50-year old James Cassano turned himself in after a warrant had been issued for his arrest. Cassano is accused of going into the the business on 24th Street the evening of December 12. Once inside, the Port Huron man who used to work at the establishment, made small talk with his former colleagues and then lunged over a counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the register. Deputies from the Sheriff's Office and officers from the Port Huron Police Department were unable to locate him. Cassano is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in 72nd District Court on charges of unarmed robbery.
