(FORESTER TOWNSHIP) -- Two Deckerville teens were seriously injured, one critically, around 3:45 p.m Monday afternoon in a two vehicle crash on M-25 near Deckerville Road in Forester Township. Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a citizen reporting the accident. Police say a pickup driven by a 17-year-old Deckerville boy was traveling north on M-25 when it collided with a car traveling south driven by another 17-year-old Deckerville boy. Both teens involved in the crash are Senior's at Deckerville High School. Port Sanilac Fire and Rescue and the Deckerville Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to free both boys who were trapped inside their vehicles. They were initially treated on scene by Sanilac EMS and later flown by Lifenet and Survival Flight to Hurley Hospital in Flint. One of the boys remains in critical condition and the other was reported to be in serious condition. Names are not being released at this time pending full notification of family members. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and the accident remains under investigation by the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team.
