Ryan O'Neal, university make final pitch to jury

LOS ANGELES (AP) - An attorney for the University of Texas at Austin has urged jurors to remember Farrah Fawcett's words when they decide who owns an Andy Warhol portrait of the actress. During his closing argument, attorney David Beck on Monday showed they jury a clip from Fawcett's reality show in which she says she had two Warhols and might sell one. The artwork is currently held by actor Ryan O'Neal, her former partner who has told the panel of six men and six women that Warhol gave him the portrait as a gift in 1980. Fawcett, who died in 2009, left all of her artwork to the university. The school sued O'Neal to gain possession of the portrait, one of two that Warhol created for a television special. O'Neal's lawyer will argue later that the actor owns the artwork.
