Authorities seeking information on vehicle involved in Marlette Twp. crash

(MARLETTE TOWNSHIP) -- The Sanilac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that took place Monday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. on Marlette Road, a quarter mile east of Gosline Road in Marlette Township. According to deputies, a white Ford pick-up driven by 48-year old Kelley Tresnak of Sandusky was traveling east on Marlette Road, when an unknown black SUV traveling west, came into her lane. Tresnak attempted to avoid a collision, but ran off the roadway, entered the ditch, struck a mailbox and then struck a tree. Tresnak was transported to Marlette Hospital by Marlette EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office at 810-648-2000.
