(SANDUSKY) -- The Sandusky School Board met Wednesday night and received the disctrict's annual enrollment information from superintendent Mike Carmean. This year's student count stands at 1,018 students in the district--that's a 29 student increase from the end of last year. Superintendent Carmean also reported that Crop Production Services will now donate fertilizer and weed killer for the school's football field. In other business, the board approved revisions to the student handbook to clarify the definition of skipping a class. If a student is more than five minutes late for class, it is now considered an absence. The board also added electronic cigarettes to the list of banned tobacco products on school grounds.
