(SANDUSKY) -- The Sandusky City Council met Monday and authorized the application for a SAW Grant agreement for the city. SAW stands for Stormwater, Asset Management, and Wastewater. The grant would cover 90 percent of costs not to exceed $600,000. The funding would be used to clean and video tape Sandusky's sewer system, as well as re-map the city's entire sewer and drainage network. If the city receives the grant, all money used for sewage projects in 2013 will be refunded by the state. In other business, the council approved the Sandusky High School Student Council's application to hold a street sale at the four corners downtown. Students will be collecting donations Friday, December 6th from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, December 7th from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Money collected will be used to help fund the Great Start Sanilac Parents' "New to You Toy Event" this holiday season.
