(MARION TOWNSHIP) -- A Palms woman and her two children had a close call Wednesday around 8 a.m. as they traveled along Mills Road in Sanilac County's Marion Township. Sheriff's deputies say 29-year old Kristie Falls was heading west on Mills between Ruth and Rangeline Roads when an eastbound vehicle came over the crest of a hill in her lane, causing her to take evasive action and run off the road into the north ditch where her vehicle rolled. Falls and her 4-year old son and 1-year old daughter were helped out of the car by drivers of a passing Waste Management truck and Deckerville School bus. She was unable to provide deputies with a vehicle description. Falls and the two children were treated on scene by Sanilac EMS personnel and later at Deckerville Hospital for minor injuries. Deputies are asking the public to come forward with any information relating to the other motorist in this case by calling Deputy Kevin Nowiski at 810-648-2000. Authorities remind motorists that when traveling down the vast country roads, please travel in the appropriate lane, especially when cresting a hill.
