(TUSCOLA COUNTY) -- Authorities have arrested a man accused of defrauding residents out of thousands of dollars following a joint effort between the Tuscola County Sheriff's Department and the Davison Police Department. Sheriff Lee Teschendorf says the suspect allegedly defrauded a Millington area resident out of $3,000 and another person in Davison out of $8,000. When the suspect was fingerprinted inside the jail, deputies learned that he had been using false identification. His real identity was revealed and authorities discovered the man had other charges pending here in Michigan and California. The suspect is being held on fraud charges in Tuscola County jail. His name is being withheld pending arraignment.
