Taylor Swift given CMA Pinnacle Award

NASHVILLE (AP) - Taylor Swift has mastered the art of looking surprised at awards shows, but even she was shocked during a tribute segment to her that she knew was coming at the Country Music Association Awards. Swift's jaw dropped when she saw a video of Mick Jagger congratulating her on winning the Pinnacle Award, given for significant contributions to country music. The award was presented by Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, George Strait, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley. Swift had been the opening act for all of them at some point. Swift recalls her label president calling her when she was 16 offering the opening slot for the Rascal Flatts tour. Swift says she started screaming and said it must have been a miracle. The label president told her no, it was because Eric Church was fired for playing too long.
