NEW YORK (AP) - Eminem says he has no problem with gay people, so why does he keep using homophobic slurs? Because he doesn't see them as slurs. Eminem tells Rolling Stone when he used to do rap battles, they would insult each other with gay slurs to mean the same thing as "punk." He says, "The real me sitting here right now talking to you has no issues with gay, straight, transgender, at all." Eminem says he's been doing music long enough that people should know he creates personas in his songs, and if they don't understand that by now, there's nothing he can do to change their minds. "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" is out this week.
