U.S. car sales shift between October 2012 and October 2013

(DETROIT) -- U.S. auto sales of light vehicles in October 2013 indicated an increase in sales of 10.6% of the U.S. automobile companies.

GM sold 226,402 with an increase of 15.7% from 2012
Ford sold 191,267 with an increase of 13.9% from 2012
Toyota sold 168,976 with an increase of 8.8% from 2012
Honda sold 114,538 with an increase of 7.1% from 2012
Chrysler sold 140,083 with an increase of 11% from 2012
Hyundai sold 53,555 with an increase of 6.5% from 2012
Nissan sold 91,018 with an increase of 6.5% from 2012

The Detroit Big Three had 46.2% of all car sales in October 2012. Compared total for 2013 with 2012 total sales through October--the increase was 8.9% more vehicles sold. The prediction for 2013 is an increase for all domestic automakers for a total of 15.4 million vehicles.
