(PORT HURON) -- The 33-year old Port Huron man accused of two strong armed robberies Wednesday in Port Huron has been arraigned. Christopher Fletcher was arrested after snatching purses from two women Wednesday evening. The first incident took place at the Kroger Plaza on 24th Avenue and the second at the Birchwood Mall in Fort Gratiot Township. Fletcher attempted to use one of the victim's credit cards at the Admiral Gas Station on Pine Grove Avenue in Port Huron. Sheriff's deputies were able to take him into custody during a traffic stop late Wednesday, charging him with strong armed robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, and possession of suspected heroin. Fletcher's passenger in his vehicle, a 23-year old Port Huron woman, was also arrested for possession of suspected heroin.
