(AREA) -- As part of a long-standing Michigan House tradition, State Representative Dan Lauwers this week provided a gift to fellow lawmakers at the State Capitol in Lansing to honor the passage of his first bill. Lauwers gave each House representative a package of Yale Bologna made by C. Roy's in Yale. The gift also was in honor of the popular Yale Bologna Festival in Yale. C. Roy's is a family owned and operated meat packing business that was founded in 1924. Representative Lauwers provided the gift after passage of House Bill 5021, which would allow sobriety court interlock programs throughout Michigan to help curb repeat drunken driving.
