Light schedule in NHL tonight

UNDATED (AP) - On the night the World Series starts play the NHL has scheduled just two games. New Atlantic Divisional rivals Detroit and Ottawa are facing off in their first meeting of the new season. Last year when the Red Wings were in the West and the Senators were in the Eastern Conference, they did not meet. They will square off three more times this season. The Wings are off to a 6-3-1 start while the Sens are 3-3-2. The other game is being played in Buffalo as the Sabres face the Bruins. Like the Red Wings and Senators, both these teams are now members of the new Atlantic Division. Since the 2009-'10 season, the Sabres have a record of 11-7-5 against the Bruins. That said, this season Buffalo is off to a 1-8-1 start while the Bruins are 5-2.
