Student Count discussed at Carsonville-Port Sanilac school board meeting

(CARSONVILLE-PORT SANILAC) -- The Carsonville-Port Sanilac School Board presented Business Manager Margie Crompton with a retirement bell during Friday night's meeting, commending her for 25-plus years of service to the district. Margie has been instrumental in guiding the district financially since 1988.

In other business, the official Student Count Day in the state was held on Wednesday October 2. Superintendent Harold Titus reported to the board that the good news is that the overall count is up 1.81 students. Of the seven school districts in Sanilac County only two districts showed an increase in student count, CPS and Cros-Lex.
