(AREA) -- Low-flying helicopters are expected to be seen throughout mid-Michigan and the Thumb region this month as part of a power line inspection effort. The October 16-23 flyovers are for ITCTransmission and Michigan Electric Transmission Company. The inspections of high-voltage transmission towers and lines are part of regular procedures. Flights take place weather-permitting. The aerial inspections will cover an area south of U.S. 10 to Lansing and east to the Thumb area.
