(DECKERVILLE) -- The Deckerville School Board met Monday night and accepted with regret the resignation of paraprofessional Penny Kenny. Miss Kenny has been with the district for 23-years. The board hired Alex Schrauben as the Jr. High Assistant Football Coach for the 2013-2014 season. In other business, Duane Paehlig was approved to serve as the district's Transportation Supervisor. Paehlig will be employed 90% by Sandusky Community Schools as their Maintenance and Transportation Supervisor and employed 10% as Deckerville's Transportation Supervisor. Discussion took place during the meeting regarding the changes that have taken place in the Great Start Readiness Preschool Program. This school year, preschool students will attend for a full day.
