(VERONA TOWNSHIP) -- Two people were arrested early Thursday morning after Huron Central Dispatch received a call from a citizen that could hear a woman screaming for help. Deputies from the Huron County Sheriff's Department and an officer from Bad Axe PD quickly responded to the intersection of Hellems and Sand Beach Roads in Verona Township and found a vehicle with two occupants inside. The husband and wife of 15 days had gotten into an altercation and both had several visible minor injuries. The man and woman were arrested and taken to the Huron County jail just before 3 a.m. 29-year Steven Lewis II, who's last known address was Port Hope, was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and a felony larceny charge from a theft of a log splitter in Huron Township earlier this month. His bond was set at $13,500 or 10% cash. Lewis's bride, 23-year old Tiffany Glaza, who's last known address was Ubly, was arraigned on a felony charge of possession of heroin and two felony charges of breaking and entering, which occurred last February in Huron Township. Glaza's bond was set at $25,000 or 10% cash.
