(ST. CLAIR TWP.) -- The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office reports that a car and motorcycle crash happened Thursday morning around 6 a.m. on M-29, just north of Davis Road in St. Clair Township. St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon says a 31-year old Port Huron man was driving his motorcycle southbound on M-29, when a Dodge Intrepid, driven by a 25-year old Smiths Creek man, turned left in front of him. The driver of the motorcycle swerved to avoid the crash, but ended up striking the right rear bumper of the car. He was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Port Huron for treatment of his injuries. Deputies investigating the crash plan to charge the driver of the car with civil infraction causing serious injury. The driver of the motorcycle is expected to be charged with driving while license suspended. The Marysville Police Department, St. Clair Fire and Rescue, and Tri Hospital EMS assisted at the scene of the crash.
