Sara Ylen's court dates changed in St. Clair County case

(ST. CLAIR COUNTY) -- Sara Ylen will appear in St. Clair County Court on October 28 for a plea hearing. The 38-year old Lexington woman is accused of filing a false felony report and tampering with evidence. Authorities say she falsely accused two men of rape last September in her Lexington home and used makeup to create what looked like bruises. Ylen's court dates were rescheduled from August 26 and September 4. Her trial on the charges is scheduled to start on November 5. In a separate case, Ylen is charged with four counts of false pretense, using a computer to commit a crime and health care fraud in Sanilac County. She is accused of deceiving an insurance company and the public into believing that she had cancer. Ylen's final pretrial conference in Sanilac County Circuit Court is set for January 27, 2014 with a trial date tentatively scheduled for February 4.
