(SANILAC COUNTY) -- The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday afternoon and appointed two county residents to the planning commission. Leonard Klisz was appointed Representative for the General Public and Louise Blasius was appointed as the Representative for the Public School Board. Both terms are for 3-years, set to expire September 1, 2016. Commissioners also honored Peggy Patten for her 25-years of service to the State of Michigan. Peggy began her career with the Michigan Department of Corrections in 1987 as a probation officer before coming to Sanilac County as a probation supervisor. In other business, commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the printing of veteran photo ID cards and established a photo fee of $10. The photo fee for concealed weapons licenses and passports was lowered from $15 to $10 as well. Next week's Finance and Administration Committee meeting has been cancelled due to the lack of a quorum. Commissioners will meet again on Tuesday, September 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Chambers.
