(DENMARK TOWNSHIP) -- Tuscola County Sheriff's deputies say a helicopter made an emergency landing in Denmark Township Thursday evening at Quanicassee and VanGeisen Roads just before 6 p.m. Deputies say the pilot and passenger were found unharmed. The pilot informed authorities that he was working on power lines 250 feet in the air and a hoist that was attached had a line break, causing the helicopter to pitch and strike a support arm. The helicopter blades were damaged and the pilot was able to safely land in a corn field. The FAA will inspect the site and helicopter. No other injuries were reported.
