ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Michigan wide receiver Amara Darboh will miss the season because of a foot injury. The loss of the 6-foot-2, 212-pound sophomore is a tough one for the Wolverines, who were counting on him to provide another target for quarterback Devin Gardner alongside established veteran wideout Jeremy Gallon. Coach Brady Hoke made the announcement of Darboh's status in a written statement Wednesday. Hoke says he loves Amara but hates what the injury means for him. Hoke says Darboh "worked through the offseason and fall camp to earn a starting role." According to Hoke, Darboh's foot injury requires surgery. Darboh played sparingly at receiver as a freshman last season, but contributed on special teams. He played his high school football at Dowling Catholic in West Des Moines, Iowa.
