(HURON COUNTY) -- Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson says investigators are seeking leads in a larceny case where several thousand dollars in construction tools were stolen from a construction site at the corner of Bay Port and Sebewaing Roads. Deputies were sent to the construction site in Sebewaing Township Tuesday morning after the contractor, Dean Deering of Owendale, found his utility trailer had been broken into. The suspect or suspects cut a lock off of the door to gain entry. Some of the stolen items include a Tap Con Laser, valued at $7,000, and several other power tools. The value of the stolen tools is over $21,000. The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.
