Lions RB Bush puts in extra work for the long haul

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - Reggie Bush has been staying after practice to run sprints, catch passes and hit blocking sleds during training camp. The Detroit Lions running back says he's putting in the extra work to help him over the long haul of the season and to extend his career. Bush's new team hopes his plan pays dividends. The Lions signed the former Miami Dolphin and New Orleans Saint in March to a $16 million, four-year contract. They're banking on him giving them what Jahvid Best did before concussions cut short his career. Bush says he has a lot to give and much to prove this year during his eighth season in the NFL, and he hopes over the following three years in Detroit.
