Former Mobile Home Park Manager sentenced in embezzlement case

(LEXINGTON) -- The former Lexington Municipal Mobile Home Park manager accused of embezzlement has been sentenced to 2-years probation. 52-year old Cheryl Ann Vincent of Lexington was sentenced in Sanilac County Circuit Court on Tuesday. Last month Vincent plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of embezzlement by an agent or trustee of $200 or more, but less than $1,000. An investigation between the Sanilac County Sheriff's Department and Lexington Police revealed that approximately $18,000 was found missing during a routine audit and should have been recorded as rent payments. Authorities say the embezzlement took place July 2011 through November 2012 and totaled over 200 missing cash receipts. Prosecutor Young's office says Vincent has reimbursed the Village of Lexington $33,000.
