(SANILAC COUNTY) -- Two Carsonville residents escaped serious injury Wednesday evening after the vehicle they were in rolled over on Ruth Road just north of M-46. Sanilac County Sheriff's deputies say the 1993 GMC Jimmy driven by 20-year old Nolan Arnold had been traveling south along Ruth Road when it crossed the centerline just before 7 p.m. A vehicle in the northbound lane swerved to avoid a collision. Arnold then lost control of his vehicle, ran off the roadway and rolled the vehicle onto its top. There was no contact between the two vehicles and no injuries reported by the other driver that swerved to avoid a collision. Arnold and his 20-year old passenger, Sarah Lawson, were treated and released at the scene with minor injuries after they both refused to be taken to the hospital. The incident remains under investigation. Sheriff's deputies were assisted at the scene by the Sandusky Police Department, Sanilac EMS and Carsonville Fire.
