Deer struck by two vehicles ends up in woman's back seat

(SANILAC COUNTY) -- A deer crossing M-25 Tuesday morning was struck by two separate vehicles and ended up in the back seat of a Port Sanilac woman's car. Sheriff Garry Biniecki says the incident on S. Lakeshore Road, north of Mortimer Line Road in Worth Township was called into Central Dispatch shortly before 11:30 a.m. A southbound vehicle driven by 32-year old Maegen Robinson of Lexington initially struck the deer, which became airborne and landed in the path of a second vehicle. The northbound car was driven by 44-year old Wanda Hughes of Port Sanilac. The deer went through the windshield of the Hughes vehicle and ended up in the back seat of her car. Hughes was transported to a Port Huron area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Robinson was not injured. Deputies were assisted by the Lexington Police and Fire Departments and Croswell EMS.
