WASHINGTON (AP) - Neil Diamond debuted his new song for a national audience in Washington yesterday. Diamond performed "Freedom Song (They'll Never Take Us Down)" as part of the "Capitol Fourth" concert, broadcast by PBS. Diamond says all of the proceeds from sales will benefit One Fund Boston and the Wounded Warrior Project. Diamond also sang "Sweet Caroline" in tribute to victims and survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing. Other performers included Barry Manilow, and "American Idol" winners Candice Glover and Scotty McCreery.
